What is overhang?
Overhang is referred to as the length of frame that extends past the edge of your mirror.
How does the frame stick to the mirror?
Our frames adhere to the surface of the mirror with a double-sided tape.
Is the frame renter friendly?
Yes, our frames are renter friendly!
Will Add A Frame work if my mirror is on the backsplash or against a wall?
Absolutely!
Will Add A Frame work if my mirror is glued to the wall?
Yes. Our Add A Frame products adhere directly to the surface of the mirror, so the mirror does not need to be removed during the installation process.
Can I paint my frame?

Is Add A Frame waterproof?
While our frames aren't completely waterproof, they are perfectly suitable for humid environments such as bathrooms.
What is the largest size mirror I can frame?
We can frame mirrors up to 142”.
Do the frames come assembled?
Your frame will not come pre-assembled.
Does the frame wrap around the mirror?
Our frames do not wrap around the mirror, but we do add 3/8” overhang to each side of the mirror that has the clearance for it.
Do you make frames for round or arched mirrors?
We do not supply frames for rounded mirrors at this time.
How long will the frame last?
Because we use industrial grade adhesive, our frames are meant to last you for years.
Can I frame a medicine cabinet?
Yes, you can!
Will the frame cover the desilvering on my mirror?
Depending on how much your mirror is desilvering, our frames can certainly cover it up.
Does Add A Frame work with beveled mirrors?
Yes. Add A Frame is designed to work with beveled mirrors.
Where is the splice?
In order to help hide the vertical seam from view, we make the cuts about 30% in on the top and bottom pieces of your frame.
What is splicing?
Splicing is a precision cut, vertical seam in pieces that measure over 85 inches.
Is the splice noticeable? How can I hide it?
It will be visible in the installed product, but it will allow for frames to be shipped for free.
Can I frame artwork?
We cannot suggest that you frame your artwork with our Add A Frames as they are only meant to be used on mirror surfaces.

Yes, we do!
Should I round up or down when measuring my mirror?
If you have clearance around your mirror, we recommend that you round up to the nearest fraction.
Can I frame an L-shaped mirror?
Yes, you can use our Add A Frame kits for L-shaped mirrors and there are two different ways it could work.
Can I frame my TV?
Our Add A Frames are specifically designed and tested for mirrors, not TVs.
I have an outlet in my mirror. Will Add A Frame work?
It depends on where the outlet is.
What material are your frames made of?
We use two types of material to manufacture our Add A Frame® products.
Is the back of the frame painted?
The vinyl wrapping on our Add A Frames is wrapped around enough to ensure that you cannot see raw MDF in the reflection of your mirror.
Is the frame permanent?
Our Add A Frames are meant to last on your mirror indefinitely, but if you ever need to remove your frame you can view our removal instructions here.
Which Add A Frames are wood?
Our Navarro and Edgecomb frames are made of solid wood.
Will Add A Frame fit my exact mirror?
Yes. Each Add A Frame kit is custom cut to the measurements you provide.

Do you have a cut out on the frame for clips?
We do not have any cutouts for clips as this can threaten the integrity of the frame.
Does Add A Frame work with J-channel?
Yes. Add A Frame works with mirrors that have metal J-channel (long, metallic strip usually at the bottom and sometimes top of your mirror).
Does Add A Frame work with mirror clips?
Yes. Add A Frame works with your existing metal mirror clips.
How do I assemble and install my Add A Frame?
Assembly and installation of your custom frame is quick and easy. You assemble the frame pieces at each corner with wedges and wood glue, and then peel away the adhesive backing and stick it to your mirror!
How do I care for my Add A Frame once its installed?
Our mirror frames only need a simple cleaning once they are installed.

Corner guides help you place your frame exactly where you want it before the adhesive backing is removed.
